Sam Hubbard (Actor/Violence Designer) appeared in Strawdog's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom and The Long Christmas Ride Home. He also designed the violence for Great Expectations, Miss Marx and Charles Ives Take Me Home. Recent acting credits include The Diary of Anne Frank (Writers' Theatre), Hamlet and Cymbeline (Michigan Shakespeare Festival), Short Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Playboy of the Western World and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Raven Theatre), Hotel Aphrodite and The Gray Girl (The Factory Theatre), My Name is Mudd (Jackalope Theatre Company) and Henry IV and Henry V (Oak Park Festival Theatre) as well as various understudy credits for Northlight Theatre. Sam has also appeared with the Renaissance sword-fighting vaudeville act The Swordsmen! Violence design credits include productions for Steep Theatre Company, Northlight, Teatro Vista, Steppenwolf for Young Adults, Raven Theatre, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Company, Promethean Ensemble and Cold Basement Dramatics. Sam is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and a member of the Society of American Fight Directors.
